Virtual Tour of Keysville Post

Front of main house at Keysville PostThe main house at Keysville Post was built around an 1800s log cabin that was brought to the site in around 1922. It has gone through several renovations which have added rooms and charm to this lovely home.

When Colonel Larrabee owned Keysville Post in the 19th Century, he used it as a hunting lodge and founded the Old Dominion Hunt from here. Among others, King Edward VIII of England hunted fox here with Colonel Larrabee when King Edward was Prince of Wales.

Behind the house is an in-ground swimming pool, and just below this a sunken rose garden in the foundation of another building that burned in the early 1900s.
